Description
This piece isn’t of any particular London location. It is more of a mish-mash of various skylines I’ve seen across London that stood out in my memory.
These memories came together some time in October 2004 when I developed a fascination with silhouettes, shadowed outlines and stunning background colours… I guess I was just noticing the change of season and the loss of light. I did a few oil pastel sketches of scenes like this and outlined them with black fabric scribblers because I liked the raised overtly posterised effect. When I finally came to paint this piece, I decided against the fabric paint for some reason.
Please note: My very old pieces do not have work-in-progress photos. Sorry!
