Mixed media painting setting all the places of discovery the children suggested (e.g. imagination, diverse cultures, creativity, etc) within the main areas of space, sky, earth and sea. The main colours of the painting are various shades of blue.
On show for silent auction at the Royston Arts Society’s annual art exhibition during the Royston Arts Festival.

Voyages of Discovery (RAF 2018)

This commission combines the work of 20 winning artworks by children ages 5-15 into one mixed media painting, which became the primary image for the Royston Arts Festival in 2018. This year’s theme was ‘Voyages of Discovery’.

Description

This commission combines the work of 20 winning artworks by children ages 5-15 into one mixed media painting, which became the primary image for the Royston Arts Festival in 2018. This year’s theme was ‘Voyages of Discovery’.

The entire creative process was designed By Leigh in collaboration with Creative Royston to encourage creativity in local children, support local charities, and build the Festival brand while promoting local art and artists.
